For service businesses

The phone rings, and you are under a sink.

A website that answers when you cannot.

When a customer calls in the evening and you are on a job, they find another tradesperson. A website can answer for you: it tells them what to do right now and sends you one alert with everything you would have asked on the phone.

What the site does in your place

Three things a phone number does not do.

  1. Tells them what to do at once

The first sentence is not your advert but “Shut the main stopcock”. While you drive, the customer stops the worst of the damage.

  2. Collects what you would ask

Where it leaks, how hard, the address, the phone, a photo, and whether it can wait till morning. You get one alert instead of several calls.

  3. Tells the customer when you will come

You choose 20, 40 or 60 minutes and press “Confirm”. The customer sees at once when you will come.

The same evening, two sites

A joint gave way in a customer’s kitchen and you are at another job. How did the evening end?

On the left, the evening with the old site; on the right, with the new one. It shows the end, 23:30; press the button and the evening starts again from the beginning.

Drag the clock: both sides change together.

23:30
OldThe kitchen: water sprays from under the sink and a pool grows on the floor. It shows the state at the chosen time.
Old site: 7 missed calls, the floor is flooded.
The new siteThe same kitchen with the new site: the spray stops, and later the plumber fixes it. It shows the state at the chosen time.
The new site: fixed, the floor is dry.

The old site

One page and a phone number.

What happens

  1. A joint under the sink gives way. Water sprays onto the floor.
  2. The homeowner phones the plumber. No answer: he is at another job.
  3. Ten o’clock. The site has only a phone number. Nothing tells her what to do until he arrives.
  4. The water reaches the walls. The neighbours downstairs are knocking on the door.
  5. The plumber sees the missed calls. It is too late to drive over, so he will fix it in the morning.

The new site

Says what to do, and alerts the plumber.

  2. The homeowner opens the site. The first sentence: “Shut the main stopcock.”

  6. He taps “Confirm”. She gets a message: the plumber will be there at 22:40.
  7. The plumber arrives. He already knows where to look and what to bring.
  8. The joint is replaced and the floor is dry.

A made-up evening, not a measurement: the kitchen, the times and the calls are invented to show how the two sites differ.

Your side: an app on your phone

A made-up plumber’s screens. Open the app, load the example or type in your own business, and the demonstration site shows it.

There are also today’s jobs and invoices. Open the app

What you get

What the site’s price includes. The phone app too, free.

In the site’s price

  • A site with your servicesThe first screen says what to do right now; the other pages say what you do, where and when. Several languages if you need them.
  • An enquiry formIt asks what you would ask on the phone: where, how urgent, the address, the phone, a photo. It shows a mistake beside its field, not after sending.
  • An alert to your phoneA new enquiry arrives as an alert on your phone: how bad, where, and the address. The alert itself carries none of the customer’s details: your phone fetches them straight from your site.
  • Pages ready for searchIf you work in several towns or offer several services, each gets a page of its own with a real title and description, so people find you by more than your name.
  • The phone app, freeEnquiries, confirming with an arrival time, today’s jobs, on call, invoices and the site’s words. It goes on your phone’s home screen.

Other components

  • A quote of its ownAnything more the site needs for your work: tell me what, and I will name its price before I start.

How we work

From a first message to a working site.

  1. We get in touch

Write or call. I work out what you need and quote the options for your current site or a new one.

  2. Usually two weeks

I usually present the finished project within two weeks of receiving your answers and material. The exact date goes into the contract — it depends on the customisation and the size of the order.

  3. We go live

The site goes public. I set up SEO free of charge. Where needed, I help set up Google Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager and Search Console.

  4. Upkeep, if you want it

From €10 a month: security updates, fixes, small changes. The contract runs a year or longer, paid monthly or yearly, and yearly gets two months free. Without upkeep, you get the code, the data and the credentials, and pay only for the build.

Questions

What tradespeople ask most.

Does the app cost extra?

No, it is in the site’s price, free. You do not look for it in a store: on an Android phone I install it as an app of its own, with your name and icon, and the alerts arrive under its name.

What if I cannot come?

In the app you press “Decline” and write a short reply. The customer gets it at once and can look for someone else instead of waiting.

Can I change the prices and words myself?

Yes. You change the name, contacts, steps and example prices in the app’s Site tab. Bigger changes I make.

Do I pay every month?

The site is paid once, €199. Hosting and upkeep start at €10 a month. You can leave upkeep out: then I hand over the code, the data and the credentials.

Is it only for plumbers?

No. The places, the steps and the form’s questions are fitted to your work: an electrician, a heating engineer, a locksmith or a cleaner.
